Yuki is a long-haired black female cat with an elegant mane and intense pale green-gold eyes.
Her established warrior appearance uses black and gunmetal futuristic armor with gold detailing, combined with a dark cape. Her armor should have an original space-warrior silhouette: powerful, practical and regal without losing her recognizable feline appearance.
Canonical visual rule: Yuki is the long-haired black cat. She must not be confused with Briar or Kepi, who are tuxedo cats.
Yuki's eyes are one of the most important visual elements in the entire universe because their colors change according to the Luminari ability she is using.
Personality
Yuki is calm, intelligent, protective, courageous and deeply compassionate.
She is not fearless. She has learned how to act without allowing fear to determine her choices.
Yuki rarely raises her voice to establish authority. Her leadership comes from presence, judgment and the willingness to carry the same risks she asks others to face.
Her greatest moral principle becomes increasingly important as the story expands:
Power does not give someone ownership over another consciousness.
She therefore prefers liberation over domination and restoration over destruction whenever those choices remain possible.

Backstory
Yuki is the daughter of Lyra, an ancient Luminari Guardian.
For much of Yuki's early life, she does not understand the full significance of her mother's past or her own unusual eyes.
Lyra concealed crucial information because Yuki possessed an ability even more dangerous than her own.
The conflict surrounding the Nine Gates eventually forces those secrets into the open.
Yuki learns that the Gates were not simply transportation systems.
They were locks.
Margarito was their Living Key.
And Yuki carried information about their locations hidden within her own neural pathways.
Her search for the truth eventually takes her through the Silent Realm, the Lost Tenth World and Cove Island—and into a war over memory and reality itself.
The Luminari Eyes
Yuki's changing eyes represent distinct Luminari abilities.
GREEN — HARMONY
Green represents calm, equilibrium and stabilization.
Yuki can use Harmony to regulate unstable living energy and prevent destructive emotional forces from overwhelming individuals or systems.
BLUE — PERCEPTION
Blue allows Yuki to perceive what ordinary senses cannot.
She can detect hidden energy, intentions, deception and pathways that would otherwise remain invisible.
GOLD — COURAGE
Gold amplifies life energy, physical resistance and determination.
It is especially powerful when Yuki must continue despite overwhelming fear or exhaustion.

Lyra is Yuki's mother and the Guardian who came before her.

Briar and Kepi are among Yuki's principal military commanders.

Estiben, The Pathfinder, gives Yuki another crucial ability she does not possess herself.

Relationship with Nihara
Nihara is almost Yuki's conceptual opposite.
Nihara erases.

During their battle against Kaelus, Nihara erases destructive energy while Yuki restores what the attack damages.
Their contradictory powers overwhelm Kaelus's adaptive armor.
When Kaelus tells Nihara to become what he made her, Nihara refuses.
Yuki witnesses one of the central principles she herself believes:

Yuki and Vorakh
Vorakh initially appears to be a monster composed of the Astrari civilization's extracted negative emotions.
Yuki refuses to solve the problem by simply killing him.
At the Heart of Nine she is offered three choices:

The decision returns Vorakh's complete emotional spectrum and transforms him.
