Appearance
Kepi is a black-and-white tuxedo cat and the brother of Briar. The two have deliberately similar appearances, but one permanent feature distinguishes them:
Kepi = pink nose.
Briar = black nose.
Kepi wears advanced black combat armor, with tactical red and metallic accents and Star Warriors/P.L.A. insignia. His equipment emphasizes battlefield information, communications, targeting and command.
His pink nose must remain visible whenever his face is shown clearly in future artwork.
Personality
Kepi is intelligent, cautious, analytical and highly tactical. He prefers understanding the battlefield before committing his forces.
He is disciplined like Briar, but more willing to improvise when new information changes the mission.
Kepi can also become unexpectedly enthusiastic when something extraordinary happens.
His most famous example occurred during the defense of Cove Island:
Kepi: “I HAVE A GIANT SNAKE!”
Briar: “You're enjoying this far too much.”
Kepi was.
Backstory
Kepi rose through the Pussy Leakers Association (P.L.A.) alongside Briar. Their complementary command styles eventually made them one of the organization's strongest battlefield teams.
Briar developed into the direct frontline commander.
Kepi became increasingly focused on tactics, intelligence and battlefield technology.
Their missions eventually brought them into Yuki's expanding conflict involving the Nine Gates, Cove Island, the Garrapatas, the Green Snakes, the Creator and Kaelus.
Kepi ultimately becomes one of the core Yuki Star Warriors.
Abilities
Kepi does not rely on paranormal powers. His greatest weapon is his tactical intelligence.
His specialties include battlefield analysis, tactical planning, intelligence assessment, weapons systems, military technology, squad coordination, reconnaissance support and adaptive combat strategy.
He is particularly good at recognizing when an apparently straightforward battle contains another problem underneath it.
The Emerald Mother
One of Kepi's defining moments occurs during the attack of the enormous Green Snakes.
Initially, everything indicates that the serpents are enemies.
Margarito detects something else.
They are being controlled.
Kepi and Briar fight their way toward the colossal Emerald Mother and remove the control device forcing her to attack.
Her eyes change from artificial yellow back to their natural deep emerald green.
That moment changes the entire battle.
Instead of destroying the Green Snakes, the Star Warriors free them.
The snakes join Cove Island's defenders and become part of the Emerald Guard.
Kepi eventually rides one of the enormous serpents into battle.
Hence:
“I HAVE A GIANT SNAKE!”
Relationship with Briar
Briar is Kepi's brother, closest battlefield partner and most trusted commander.
Their canonical visual distinction must always remain consistent:
Kepi — tuxedo cat with a PINK nose.
Briar — tuxedo cat with a BLACK nose.
Briar tends toward direct battlefield command.
Kepi tends toward tactical analysis.
Together they function almost like two halves of the same command system.
Relationship with Yuki
Kepi respects Yuki's authority but is willing to question a plan when tactical information suggests another approach.
Yuki values this.
She does not need commanders who automatically agree with her. She needs commanders capable of seeing dangers she cannot.
As the threats become increasingly cosmic, Kepi becomes important because he continues asking practical questions while everyone else is dealing with impossible ones.
Relationship with Margarito
Kepi initially has difficulty incorporating Margarito's paranormal intuition into conventional military planning.
Eventually he learns an important lesson:
When Margarito says something impossible is happening, Kepi starts planning for the impossible.
This makes them surprisingly effective together.
Margarito identifies the hidden threat.
Kepi determines what the army should do about it.
Relationship with Estiben
Estiben and Kepi have naturally complementary abilities.
Estiben finds the path.
Kepi figures out how to move an army through it.
Estiben's dimensional navigation and Kepi's tactical planning can eventually become one of the Star Warriors' strongest combinations in the war against Nexaris.

Kepi's closest allies are Briar, Yuki, Margarito, Tokyo, Estiben, Lyra, G-01, the P.L.A., Emerald Mother and the Green Snakes, Green Sneak Soldiers, Paranormal Mice and the Emerald Guard.
Enemies
His major enemies include Kaelus, the Destroyer, hostile control forces, Nexaris and any faction attempting to enslave independent species or manipulate their identities.
Kepi has a particular strategic interest in enemy control technology because of what happened to the Emerald Mother.

Briar can hold the battlefield.
Kepi determines how all those abilities work together as one fighting force.
